Generally, we give you enough medication along with repeats to last you until a reassesment visit is necessary.  At times, we will renew prescriptions by fax or secure email if it is an emergency or similar situation.   NARCOTICS ARE NEVER RENEWED WITHOUT AN ASSESMENT.  Pharmacists,  please do not ask us to renew prescriptions issued or monitored by specialists or non-FHO physicians.   Renewals will only be considered for patients PROPERLY REGISTERED IN THE FHO (MISSISSAUGA FAMILY HEALTH ORGANIZATION).

   We encourage all patients taking multiple medications to develope a working relationship with a single pharmacist.  Particularly, if you see multiple specialists on a regular basis. They are experts at spotting potential interactions when medications come from multiple sources.
